Hublot’s Red Magic Big Bang Unico Watch Is… Bold
Get used to coloured ceramic, because it’s here to stay.
Hublot have unveiled a striking new take on the Unico Big Bang, an all-ceramic number that utilises the same material used in their special edition Ferrari Unico across the entire timepiece.
The swiss watchmaker is no stranger to pushing the boat out when it comes to luxury watch design, and the Big Bang Unico was already one of the most eye-catching watches money could buy before Hublot designed to cover it in red ceramic. According to Hublot, the material is sintered in a way that ensures the additional red pigment isn’t burned, and in turn dulled.
The red ceramic design is accented with deep black composite resin, making the red pop even more.
Only 500 of the Red Magic will be made, however many (including Hublot themselves) predict that coloured ceramic will feature prominently in future collections.
